Can You Really Capture a Couples Photoshoot in Just 20 Minutes? Yes, You Can!
I recently had the chance to be part of a Summer study program at Reichman University in Herzliya, and it was an experience I’ll never forget. The program focused on Geo-political diplomacy, and I was thrilled to be invited to participate. It’s not every day you get to join a university program for free, especially one that promises such engaging content.
During the four weeks, I found myself immersed in the classroom, surrounded by brilliant minds. The professors were top-notch, and they encouraged us to ask tough questions and dive deep into the topics. Among the many interesting people I met was Maddy, a sweet and incredibly smart girl with a master’s degree. She was at Reichman to further her studies.
Our group also included some current students from Reichman University, and that’s where Roy comes into the picture. He and Maddy hit it off right away, and by the end of the program, they were more than just classmates—they were in a romantic relationship. Seeing them together, I knew I had to offer them something special.
I had brought along some camera gear, as I often do, and offered Maddy and Roy a couples photoshoot around the beautiful Reichman University campus. This was the place where their love story began, after all. The only catch? We were all on tight schedules, and the only time we could squeeze in the shoot was during lunch. And yes, we still wanted to eat, so that left us with just 20 minutes to make it happen.
Now, 20 minutes might sound like a tight squeeze for a photoshoot, but when you know how to work quickly and efficiently, it’s more than enough time. I’ve learned over the years that things don’t always go as planned. But that’s all part of the challenge!
I scouted the campus for spots with soft light and some shade to keep Maddy and Roy comfortable. The Mediterranean sun can be intense, but I was determined to make it work. With some quick thinking and a bit of creativity, I managed to get some fantastic shots of the happy couple in just 20 minutes.
When I showed Maddy the final photos, she was over the moon. These images captured a special moment in their lives and will serve as a beautiful reminder of where their story began—right there at Reichman University. It was a fun photoshoot, but it shows that sometimes, even with limited time, you can still create something truly special.
