Madison Square Park Family Photos

Gillie and I worked together for the past two years at New York Hebrew Schools. Her and Mendy are always planning the best events for the kids and their families. I was honored when she asked me to do family photos for her son upsherin. The upsherin or hair cutting ceremony marks a male child's entry into the formal educational system and the commencement of Torah study. A yarmukule and tzitzis will now be worn, and the child will be taught to pray and read the Hebrew alphabet. We had so much fun during our photo shoot. The weather was unseasonably warm and the trees were bright vivid color. Getting six kids to laugh and smile isn’t easy but we all had fun singing songs and yelling LOLLIPOP. We ended up with some great images.
